There're 7 SAAB car service manuals PDF, electric wiring diagrams.
The history of this Swedish car manufacturer began in 1937.
It was then that the company Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget, which was engaged in the production of military aircraft, was founded.
And it should be noted that SAAB products have proven themselves well in the skies above Europe, plunged into the chaos of the WW2.
But with the end of the war, a good time for the manufacturer also passed.
It was urgently necessary to find a reason to do such things in peacetime.
The logical step was to establish the production of cars (aircraft manufacturers such as BMW and Mitsubishi followed the same path).
As a result, in 1947, a very unusual car SAAB 92. 001 appeared, also known as "Ursaab".
It is interesting that the number 92 in the name was inherited from the aircraft - the last model wore the number 91.
Technically, Ursaab was not much different from the same German models.
Its uniqueness lay in the aerodynamic design of the body - the drag coefficient of the car was 0. 3, which was a real record at that time.
In 1949, the company moved from Linköping, where it was founded, to Trollhättan, where its headquarters were located until 2011.
Mass production of the SAAB 92 model, which was built on the basis of the Ursaab, begins.
In total, by 155, about 20, 000 units of the 92nd model were sold.
In 1957, the 94 model appeared, and then, in 1960, the 96. The last model was the first that the company sold for export. A total of 550, 000 SAAB 96s were sold.
But the real step forward was the 99 model, which appeared in 1968.
It was a fundamentally new development, not just a remix of the 92nd platform.
SAAB 99 became the main model in terms of future design of the company.
Many technical innovations were implemented in the car. These models participated and won several times in sports competitions (however, the company never paid much attention to racing).
It should be noted that there are still SAAB 99 modifications that were produced until 1984 on the roads of Europe.
In February 2010, SAAB was transferred to the Dutch Spyker Cars NV. It was assumed that the SAAB Spyker Automobiles company would be formed in the future.
However, the Dutch did not manage to correct the situation and began to make attempts to promote the brand to the Asian market, offering part of SAAB's shares to the Chinese Hawtai Motor Group.
The deal did not materialize and negotiations began with Pang Da Automobile Trade Co and later Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Co and Great Wall Motor Company Limited.
With the latter, it was practically possible to agree, when the deal broke down due to the fault of the same GM, which did not want its technologies to become available to the Chinese.
As a result, in December 2011, SAAB Automobile AB was declared bankrupt and ceased to exist.
Another legendary car brand has become the property of history.
