Ravon Cars History

There're 4 RAVON car owner's manuals PDF.

Within the framework of this concept, in 1993, a joint South Korean-Uzbek enterprise UzDaewooAuto was founded by two companies - Uzavtosanoat JC and Daewoo, in the same year the Koreans broke off relations with General Motors.

The main production facilities are located in the Uzbek city of Asaka, located in the Andijan region.

This is a large car assembly plant (one of the largest in Central Asia), created from scratch.

Since May 1998, Uzavtosanoat has been a member of the International Automobile Manufacturers Association and things are going pretty well.

In 1999, the bankruptcy proceedings of the South Korean chaebol began and Daewoo Motors was put up for sale.

General Motors was the first to make it to the fair and bought the company.

So in 2002, GM DAT (Daewoo & Technology Co) appears.

Six years later, in 2008, Uzavtosanoat JC and General Motors enter into an agreement and create GM Uzbekistan, the successor of UzDaewooAuto.

Although the contracts concluded earlier were carried out under the old Daewoo brand.

The production base is expanding, it is no longer only the Asaka plant, which has not reached its maximum production capacity.

In the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, they opened on the basis of the former aircraft building plant named after. Chkalov one production site with SKD.

The same SKD assembly was established in 2014 in Khorezm, the branch was established in 2012.

Cars came out under the Chevrolet brand, such models as "Captiva", "Spark" and "Cobalt".

In 2015, Uzavtosanoat reconsiders its relationship with General Motors, as a result, a new automobile manufacturing enterprise Ravon, the first Uzbek automobile brand, is formed.

The name change is a forced measure.

In South Korea, Daewoo International miraculously survived, which owns the rights to the Daewoo trademark.

The Koreans decided to deprive the Uzbeks of all rights in order to produce cars under the Daewoo brand for the Saudi Arabian market.

Therefore, Ravon appears on the foreign market on October 8, 2015, and Chevrolet remains on the domestic market, the Americans have no complaints so far.
