DS Cars History

There're 6 DS Automobiles car owner's manuals PDF.

Starting in 1976, Groupe PSA tried to create its own premium sub-brand, eventually agreeing to use a scheme similar to those used to create brands such as Lexus and Infiniti.

And they took the name of the legend as a basis - Citroën DS. So in 2009, a new premium brand of French cars appeared.

True, there is nothing “divine” in it, there will be no such cars as the Citroen DS 19, which are ahead of time, existing outside of time.

The technical part is standard Groupe PSA.

The only differences are in design (they are trying hard to match the genius of Flaminio Bertoni), equipment and finishing materials used.

In 2009, the first DS 3 model appeared, although then it was still called the Citroën DS 3, based on the DS Inside concept car, a three-door hatchback and a convertible.

In 2010, a second model is introduced to the market, the DS 4 five-door hatchback, based on the 2008 Citroën Hypnos concept car.

In 2011, a third model rolled off the assembly line, the DS 5 five-door hatchback, based on the 2005 Citroën C-SportLounge concept car.

In 2014, the DS 5LS four-door sedan was introduced to the Chinese market, and the DS 4S five-door hatchback was created on its basis.

In the same year, the production of the compact five-door crossover DS 6WR (aka simply DS 6), another Chinese model, began.

In 2016, sales of the compact five-door crossover DS 4 Crossback (an off-road version of the base hatchback DS 4) started.

The most modern model for the European market is the compact five-door crossover DS 7 Crossback, which was released at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017.

That is, the new premium French brand DS Automobiles, which is not yet 10 years old, lives and actively develops, expanding its lineup and developing promising concept cars such as Wild Rubis, Divine, E-Tense and others.
